Congratulations to the three winners below who were shortlisted as the best in their age categories by Sheikh Mohammed Abbas Panju

1. Nishat Bhimani: Surah 55 Verse 13

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

2. Maliha Mulji: Surah 2 Verse 255

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

3. Abulfazal Qassimali: Surah 3 Verse 185

Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.

The virtues of reciting the Quran are numerous. We are taught that the one who places the Quran in front of him- or herself will be guided towards the heavens, but he who does not prioritise it will surely find himself in the hellfire.

There are over 6200 verses in this holy book, and, of course, they are all beautiful and of the greatest significance. But for all of us there is a verse that has a special meaning. We want to know - which verse resonates with you?

Fill in the below form, telling us which is your favourite verse and why. The deadline for submissions is 28th July. Prizes will be awarded for the top three entries (to be announced soon!).
