About SJRS Championships

With the help of Almighty (SWT), Stanmore Jaffery Racket Sports (SJRS) are delighted to invite you to the inaugural SJRS Championships, a Festival of Rackets, Inshallah to be held in London on the bank holiday weekend 6-7 May 2018.

Racket sports are on the rise and to celebrate the exceptional talent of both young and old, SJRS is organising a unique rackets festival of all four racket sports for all ages in a single venue. Let's come together in the spirit of 'rackethood' and have a 'smashing' weekend of 'serving' and 'loving'!

Schedule of Events

Adult Gents:

Sunday 6 May – Opening Ceremony, Tennis and Table Tennis from 8.30am-7pm

Monday 7 May – Badminton, Squash and closing ceremony from 8.30am – 6pm

Boys:

Sunday 6 May – Badminton from 2pm-7pm

Monday 7 May – Tennis and Table tennis and closing ceremony from 8.30am – 6pm

Boys:

Boys of all levels are encouraged to enter the tournament. The festival is about giving them tournament experience and exposure to the various racket sports. Coaches will be at hand to help them along. While there is no formal squash tournament for youth, schedule allowing there will be an opportunity for the boys to have an introduction to squash.

Day 1:

Badminton singles and doubles 16 and under, 12 and under, 9 and under

 

Day 2:

Tennis singles 16 and under, 12 and under, 9 and under

Table Tennis singles and doubles 16 and under, 12 and under, 9 and under

 

Other Key points:

  • Adults can enter a maximum of 2 events per day. Singles and Doubles are classed as two separate events
  • Please specify your level as advanced or intermediate but final decision will be made at the organisers discretion
  • Please specify your doubles partner but if you are not sure you can leave blank for now or state that you are looking for a partner
    Your doubles partner should register separately and insert your name as their partner
  • Boys can enter and indeed encouraged to enter all 3 racket sports singles and doubles but limited to just one age category
  • Boys playing in the Youth competition cannot enter the adult competition for the same racket sport
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days at the venue
